1. Tell us about yourself, your business journey and your contribution to the UAE.
I started as a site engineer on one of Dubai’s early metro-adjacent developments before founding Falcon Infrastructure Contracting in 2010. We’ve since delivered road, utility, and public infrastructure projects across five emirates. My contribution has been quieter than most in this industry — infrastructure work rarely gets applause, but every road, pipeline, and substation we’ve built has been part of making this country function for everyone who lives here.
2. What does receiving the 9th Golden Excellence Award for Infrastructure Development Excellence mean to you?
It’s recognition for an industry that usually works out of sight. Receiving it under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan Mabarak Al Nahayan means a great deal, because infrastructure is one of the purest expressions of shared national purpose — roads and utilities serve every resident equally, regardless of background.
3. How do you view the role of the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence in shaping the UAE’s society?
Our project sites are some of the most diverse workplaces in the country, with laborers, engineers, and project managers from dozens of nationalities working toward one shared outcome. The Ministry’s work reinforces the dignity and respect that has to underpin that kind of collaboration for it to actually function safely and well.
4. What opportunities do you see emerging in your industry over the next few years?
Smart infrastructure — sensors embedded directly into roads and utility networks for predictive maintenance — is moving from pilot projects to standard practice. Sustainable construction materials are also becoming commercially competitive rather than a premium add-on, which changes the economics of the entire industry.
5. What are your company’s key plans and growth priorities for the future?
We’re investing in smart-utility monitoring technology and expanding our sustainable materials sourcing. Longer term, we want Falcon to be known not just for what we build, but for how responsibly we build it.
